Daily

Well, that software project for a client in Beijing, China looks like a goer, so I’m cancelling my summer school enrolment at Monash for that. The money is good, the project interesting, and should finish in time for Semester 1, 2003. I’m still planning to take a full-time load for the whole of 2003, as to whether it will be at a Sydney or Melbourne uni will depend on the amount of course credit I can transfer. Too little will mean I’ll stay at Monash so as not to extend my completion date.

If anything goes wrong with the China deal and I’ve already cancelled my semester 3 enrolement, I’ll go full-time on my private pilots license and get that finished (finally!), and go to Japan earlier than planned. Don’t know when I’ll fit flying in otherwise.

Holiday travel in 2003 is expected to include Japan early in 2003, and Europe towards the end of 2003, this time likely to include Switzerland, Austria and Germany. I’ve also got to sort out my four year work visa for the UK before I turn 28 in May.

A few other things I’d like achieve/do in/or beyond 2003:

- Learn another language, maybe Japanese
- Visit Egypt, China, South America and Canada
- See the Mayan and Egyptian pyramids and runis
- See the Great Wall(s) and the Lost Army in China
- Fly a jet fighter
- Fly in Concorde
- Get my helicoper flying to the point where I can successfully hold a hover, and subsequently land
- Skydive
- Radical career change
- Move apartments, and maybe even city/country
- Start a business venture with some mates
- Buy an investment property
