Weekend Wrap/Crap

Crap weekend, spent the entire time worrying about two essays I've got to write, but actually getting very little done. Had some drinks at the Light Brigade on Saturday night for Adrian et al., and went to a few clubs after that (which I'm too ashamed to list here).

Wanted to go to the Peppermint Louge in the Cross as I've never been there before, but the numbers ratio of poorly dressed guys to girls in our group worked against us, and they pulled the usual <>we've got a list<> crap. Once again door policy totally turning me off going clubbing in Sydney anymore. Look I totally agree with selective doors, but I wonder why I get knocked back so much lately? I'm not a shabby dresser and I don't think I'm overly funny looking. Perhaps it's just because I've been with big groups lately. Ah well, I'll try not take it personally, maybe I'm just getting too old for these places. But I'm certainly never gonna bother with Peppermint Lounge, Cargo or Home ever again (heh, I'm not bitter).

Didn't manage to go to any of the Australian Sci-Fi Film Festival over the weekend, and it's unlikely I'll make it to any screenings this week. So that leaves the next 7 days of hell completeing an enterprise content management architecture, a software design document and two major uni essays.

Congratulations go out to Adrian for being accepted for an exchange term of his MBA at Columbia this year.
