Just chillin'
Ah yeah, not much to say. First week back at uni, and I've opened the books, but not really started into it yet. Went to the Star Wars exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum on Saturday which was good, I'll post the pics soon. Went to Jamiroquai in the Opera House Forecourt on Tuesday(?), just to piss Alan Jones and his fellow Toaster whinging bastard residents off. Nice touch by Jay Kay to put on a long fireworks display in the harbour at the end of the concert. Skipped the Weblogger meetup again as I'm too lazy. Caught up with a few people for lunch. Watched lots of downloaded TV episodes including Angel, Buffy, Enterprise and Firefly. Did some coding on the Aussie Blogs backend crawler. Played too much Battlfield 1942. Drank too much coffee. Didn't go to the gym. Finally got around to watching Apocolapyse Now and Memento among other films that I've been meaning to watch for ages, but haven't had the time. China work deal fell through, which was a bummer as I was all excited about touring around up there, but three other potential work projects landed in my lap a few days later, so I guess work is there if I want it. Couple of house warmings and farewell drinks for people this weekend. Picked up 3D World and had a poke through ITM, might actually buy some tickets to some near year end and NYE upcoming events as Jamiroquai got me in the mood to go out again. Perhaps 'Four of a Kind' at the Metro? Watched the first ep. of that ABC doco on the future directions of the RAAF, not bad, but a very annoying style, no wonder it was given a 10pm slot. Just generally bumming around and doing my own thing which is great, and finally making an effort to catch up with people. If you ever get the chance to just not work for a long period of time, I *highly* recommend it. But don't do it for too long, otherwise you'll never be able to face full-time work again.
